So let’s start with the basics. The island itself is called Syros. You’ll get a salary that will be able to support both you and the cats and the house there comes with a direct view of the sea. The house is free, and comes with a garden. You will also have completely free lodging of lighting and water. The cats there are rescues, and most are very affectionate. You’ll have to know how to drive a manual car. They prefer you being 45+ years of age, but you don’t have to be. You’ll have to bring the cat to the vet if one gets sick, and sometimes you’ll be expected to trap a feral or non-sociable cat. You should know a cat’s behavior, and being a cat whisperer is important too. The daily hours of taking care of the cats has a proximity of 4 hours. You’re required to have knowledge of cats, and any veterinary info is welcome. You’ll also need to like the nature, and of course, like (or love) cats.

How To Get Hired

To get hired you’ll have to send your resume and photograph to joanbowell@yahoo.com. Then she’ll send the results back to you and hopefully you’ll get the job. Cats were domesticated a bit earlier than you think. In this article I thought you like some info about how cats were domesticated. So, let’s begin!

Cats and People Introduced

Many people think cats and people first encountered each other because rodents were always trying to steal some grain. The cats would then swoop in and save the day by hunting down the rodents and eating them. Then, after many years of human interaction the cats would become domesticated.

However, another theory was introduced. Some people now think cats were attracted by trash left carelessly out in the open. The cats would salvage pieces of food and soon got used to the humans in the area. The people would also get used to the cats, and decided to take care of them. Feral cats are not easily adjusted to people, but if they had kittens, and the kittens were raised all their life by humans, the kittens would easily become very affectionate. But the people back then weren’t as smart. The feral cats would have their kittens raised outside. Only years later kittens started appearing in homes. When I say years, I mean thousands of years. Cats only then started to like always living in people’s homes. And I think that both of those rumors are true. After all, it is possible.

Feral VS Stray

You have to remember that feral cats are basically the cats before they were domesticated, except that the cats were african wild cats, not the normal feral cats. They usually have had little or no human contact.

Stray cats are very different. Stray cats are cats that were either abandoned by their owners or got lost and never found their way back, ending up in the wild. Usually they’re still used to humans, and their wild instincts aren’t as strong. I think the stray cats that survived gave birth to kittens. These kittens never had human contact ever since they were born, so they became feral.

Here’s an example: My cat Shadow was rescued by the animal shelter when she was about one and a half or two months. She is more shy than most cats because of this. Domino was born in Cameron Animal Shelter and had stayed there until we adopted her. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle.  USDA is killing innocent kitties for no good reason, and we have to do something. Today you will learn what else they’re doing wrong, and how to stop it!

The USDA Kitten Crimes

USDA is not only killing cats, they’re doing experiments on them! The first step in this horrid cycle is breeding the cats. They breed 100 cats annually. Next, they’re raising the cats up to two months and then feeding them raw meat with toxoplasmosis, which is then harvested from the cats’ feces and used for other experiments. Then the cats, which most are healthy and if not then could easily be cured, are killed.

A spokesperson from USDA says in defense, that ‘the cats could affect the pregnancies of many women if they come in contact with the cat.’ And yet the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention argues that the parasite could only be from the feces of cats a few weeks following the infection. So if USDA were to keep the cats for a few more weeks the families would be fine. The USDA spokesperson counters this pointing out that the parasite could last longer in the cats body than thought, and it could be reactivated later again.

So then Senior Vice President Gudrun Ravetz of the British Veterinary Association then says the chances of them happening is low, and that only people with weak immune systems are likely to get infected. He also says that if a person does have a weak immune system that they should follow NHS advice for precautionary measures. Ravetz also added more advice on how to minimize getting infected, like washing your hands thoroughly after cleaning the cat’s litter box. So in conclusion, USDA still has no good reason to be killing cats.
